Given the self-guided, informal nature of Bookstore Tour, it’s hard for us to gauge participation in our little experimental event. You can help us measure this by showing your participation.
Also, Our friends at PBS Books will be covering Detroit Bookfest, including our Bookstore Tour. They may be interested in talking with Bookstore Tour participants, or possibly even filming a portion of your adventure.
Think of it as a little local Record Store Day, but for Books!
Before You Start:
- ADD a Calendar Reminder for Sat 7/19/2025, so you don’t forget.
- DOWNLOAD our Bookstore List to your phone, or PRINT it out if you prefer.
- VIEW and/or BOOKMARK our Interactive Map on your phone.
- FILL OUT the below form if you’re planning to participate.
- This helps us hook our friends at PBS Books with potential film subjects (no guarantee!).
During the Tour:
- Take SELFIES in front of each store you visit!
- If you buy anything there, Show Off Your Merch! (in or out of a shopping bag)
- Bring a Friend to serve as a camera-person.
- Please Be Respectful of Bookstores by NOT photographing staff or store interiors without consent.
- UPLOAD those selfies using the form below so we can see them!
